Akadema baseball gloves Akadema baseball gloves are produced and marketed by the Akadema company. It offers baseball and softball products for the professional, college and high school athletes. The baseball glove line features the Reptilian, Mantis, Funnel and Professional line.


The Reptilian glove series is designed for the professional player. Material is select U.S. steer hide with rawhide lacing. It has an almost fingerless design, which helps to reduce the shock of the ball impact. Price is about $200-225.

The Precision Rip models use Kip leather that is 20% lighter than steer hide. The hides come from Europe and are tanned in Japan. The gloves are easier to break in. Price is about $225.

The Professional line uses U.S. steer hide for the shell and rawhide for the laces. Price is about $195.

The Prodigy series is designed for youth baseball players. The glove is made with a combination of steer hide and Akadema leather. It is light and durable. Price is about $90.
