Youth Baseball Gloves

Youth baseball gloves come in different sizes and types. Different positions use different gloves. There are outfield, infield and pitcher gloves. The first baseman and the catcher wear mitts.

Youth gloves range from 8" to about 12" in size. The glove should fit the child and should not be bought too large. If the glove is too big, the child won't be able to close the glove. For example, an 8 year old child might be able to use a size 10" or 11", while a 16 year old could use a size 12".

Youth gloves are usually made of synthetic material. They are softer and easier to break in. The price for youth gloves is therefore much less than adult leather gloves. The price is $20-30.

Youth gloves are mostly designed with smaller finger and wrist openings to fit smaller hands better.
